Forbes: Hollywood’s Best Actors for the Buck – Kristen & Rob among the Top 3

Via Forbes

To compile our list we used information gathered for the Celebrity 100 to look at the last three non animation movies each actor starred in over that last three years. We added each actor’s upfront and backend pay on all three movies to come up with a total compensation number. We then added up the operating income of the three movies to come up with a total operating income number and
then divided total operating income by total compensation. Each return on investment number represents how much the studio is paid for every dollar invested in the star.

No. 1 Kristen Stewart

For every $1 Stewart is paid, her films earn an average $55.83. Stewart tops our list thanks to her paydays for two Twilight movies:
New Moon and Eclipse. She ranks higher than her costar Robert Pattinson (even though they earn the same amount on the films) because he has branched out more so only one of his Twilight films is eligible for this list.

No. 3 Robert Pattinson

For every $1 Pattin son is paid, his films earn an average $39.43. The Twilight star ranks lower than Kristen Stewart because he’s been busy. Only one of his Twilight films, Eclipse, qualifies for the list. The other films we looked at for Pattinson were Water for Elephants and Remember Me.

Taylor Lautner Talks TV Guilty Pleasures with Seventeen Magazine

Via Seventeeen

Taylor Lautner will be on the cover of the Seventeen Magazine for the month of October 2011

Getting to know Taylor:

“I finished high school while filming movies. And then as soon as I was done, I enrolled in my local community college and got 12-15 credits out of the way really quickly. After that, it just got too busy, but if I get a break again, going back definitely interests me—I might be interested in studying psychology.”

“I’m a big fan of all those singing competition shows. Most recently, I’ve been into The Voice. It’s one of my secrets! And I’m definitely looking forward to The X Factor, especially because I’m a huge Simon Cowell fan. Personally, I sing for fun, but mainly in the shower, when I’m alone. Other people definitely do not want to hear me sing.”

Abduction was super-physical for me. I’d never boxed before, so I had to train for a couple of months. The last time I wrestled was when I was six years old, so I had to work on that. And then there was the motorcycle training. I rode a few dirt bikes in New Moon and Eclipse, but in Abduction, it was a legit street racing bike. And I’m not the biggest motorcycle fan—they’re cool and a lot of fun, but they’re scary as well!”

Chris Weitz: “No Way” in directing a ‘Breaking Dawn’ specific scene (SPOILER)

Via Box Office Magazine

BOXOFFICE interviewed Chris Weitz for A Better Life, a naturalistic and moving portrait of immigration in Los Angeles with a strong father/son story. But they also had a chance to talk New Moon and comment on Breaking Dawn.

When you were shooting New Moon, did you think about how on earth you would shoot the birth scene if you had to?

[Laughs] No, I wasn’t because I knew that I wasn’t going to do Eclipse and I thought, “No way can I figure this one out.” I thought, “Well who could do it? David Cronenberg?” I have no idea how they’ve managed to get around all of that. I would imagine, you know, since I’m a coward it would be a lot of quick cutting, dissolve-y misdirection. I don’t know. It’s a tough one. I’m not sure how I would have figured that out.

The Swan House is officially gone after ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’

Via Twilight Examiner

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn‘s production use of the Swan House set in Vancouver, British Columbia was completed, which meant the site would be once again disassembled – this time, for good.

Now, it has been done. The photo (left) is, according to its source, “A hole in the ground that was the foundation for the house.”

As a reminder, the Swan House set used for Breaking Dawn was the same one made for The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, but it is not the original Swan House set used in Twilight. The latter remains in St. Helens, Oregon, and the former was constructed similar to the first one (with a few changes – namely, Bella’s window space) so that production could be moved to Vancouver rather than the Portland area.

Robert Pattinson’s 10 Best MTV Quotes

Via MTV

10. “This is the first time, really, that I’ll be confronted with a bunch of Twilighters. I guess I can see for myself. But I’m kind of nervous about it.” — At Comic-Con in 2008

9. “The worst part is you’ve got to work almost every single day, which is something I’m never going to get used to.” — On the downside of being Edward Cullen, at the Los Angeles premiere of “New Moon”

8. “I didn’t see Taylor until just a little bit before we started shooting. When he came back, I had the same reaction as everybody else. I was like, ‘Jeez, now I have to go to the gym!’ — Speaking to MTV Radio about seeing Taylor Lautner’s pre-”New Moon” physical transformation for the first time

7. “It made me feel really tough, really hard. I don’t think I’ve ever won a fight in my life.” — On winning Best Fight with Cam Gigandet at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards

6. “To be honest, I should’ve been nominated in a few more categories.” — On “New Moon” only receiving five noms at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards

5. “Before ‘Twilight,’ I did any movie that I got [offered], and you’d try and make the best of it afterward. But now you’re expected to come into the movie and provide not only economic viability, but also a performance as well. You can’t just mess around. People are like, ‘We’re employing you to be here, as a star and an actor.’ It’s difficult, and it’s scary.” — On the pressures that come with superstardom.

4. “The idea of kind of doing this big romantic kiss, like Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams did [for 'The Notebook'], I couldn’t do that. I’d be so embarrassed! So I just thought, ‘We better do something dumb.’ But then Kristen didn’t want to do something dumb!” — On his awkward smooch with KStew while accepting the win for Best Kiss at the 2010 Movie Awards

3. “I love how they release that for the first one. They just give it all away.” — Speaking at the Golden Globes about the publication of a photo of Edward and Bella in bed on their honeymoon

2. “I like the story about me being pregnant. It was in some Australian magazine, on the front page! I was like, ‘Wow, that’s just [insane].’ And it’s not even ironic. I don’t even think the article [tried to justify it]; it was just a headline. The article was just like, nothing.” — On the strange things he learns when Googling himself

1. “Lot of my crack in it!” — On his onscreen nudity in the upcoming drama, “Bel Ami”

Don’t miss “MTV First: Robert Pattinson” this Friday at 8:56 p.m. ET on MTV and MTV.com. Tune in to see RPattz introduce a new “Water for Elephants” clip, followed by a live 30-minute interview on MTV.com. Tweet questions using the hashtag #askrob to get in the conversation!

Jodelle comments on her ‘Twilight’ experience

Via The Vancouver Sun (this was posted on February 2011)

For the Vancouver-based, Nanaimo-born actress, playing Bree Tanner in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has turned her into somewhat of a teenage celebrity.

Ferland is just one of many B.C.-based actors who have seen a boost in their profiles — and careers — thanks to the vampiric pop-culture phenomenon, which was filmed in B.C.

“Twilight has had a huge impact on my career,” Ferland says over the phone from San Francisco, where she’s completing voice-over work for her latest project, The Haunting Hour, a television series that recently filmed in Vancouver.

“I’ve been doing all sorts of publicity for Twilight and conventions, and I get to interact with the fans a lot, which is so much fun. Before Twilight, I didn’t have a lot of teen fans, and now I definitely do. Most Twilight fans are teenagers, which is pretty cool, because I get recognized a lot more now by teens rather than people who like to watch horror films.”
