Every time I turn around it seems like some film is being promoted as “The Next Twilight”. Now personally I don’t think anything is “The Next Twilight” anymore than I thought Twilight was “The Next Harry Potter”. I always want to ask those folks, “A wizard coming-of-age tale and a vampire romance are the same how exactly?” On the other hand, giving these well-intentioned people the benefit of the doubt, they are probably talking about the next big breakout hit. In any case this whole “The Next” obsession got me thinking. Who is the next Twilight Saga star to hit that the next level of success? Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner are all now A-list stars. So when it comes to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, who’s got breakout, superstar potential?

Synopsis: Inspired by personal experiences, 50/50 is an original story about friendship, love, survival and finding humor in unlikely places. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen star as best friends whose lives are changed by a cancer diagnosis. Rogen also serves as producer, along with Evan Goldberg and Ben Karlin. Jonathan Levine directs from a script by Will Reiser. “We worked with Will on Da Ali G show, and it was shortly after that we learned he was sick.” Rogen recalls. “As shocking, sad, confusing and generally screwed up as it was; we couldn’t ignore that because we were so ill-equipped to deal with the situation, funny things kept happening. Will got better, and when he did, we thought the best way to pull something good out of the situation was to get him to write a screenplay. Ideally we wanted to make a film that would be as funny, sad, and hopefully as honest as the experience we went through. As soon as the script was completed, it quickly became a passion project for all of us. It helped us come to terms with Will’s struggle as well as our own experiences.” 50/50 is the story of a guy’s transformative and, yes, sometimes funny journey to health. 50/50 draws its emotional core from Will Reiser’s own experience with cancer and reminds us that friendship and love, no matter what bizarre turns they take, are the greatest healers.

Anna Kendrick was at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival Kick-Off party on March 21 and she confirmed her addiction to ‘Angry Birds:
Anna shared, “Oh, actually, I was playing it in the car on the way over here, is that bad? I have like 3 stars on every level. It’s disgusting how much I play that game. It’s not like ‘Oh, what level am I on,’ It’s like ‘Do I need therapy to break myself from playing angry birds?’”

Anna is in Mexico City for the Top Glamour awards 2010. She is nominated for “Best International Actress”! Model Izabel Goulart tweeted this pic of her and Anna getting ready together.
Anna Kendrick at Elle’s ’25 at 25′
October 12th, 2010 admin Friday, Anna Kendrick (“Jessica Stanley”) hit up Elle‘s “25 at 25″ event in Los Angeles. According to the Los Angeles Times, Kendrick “showed in a cute red mini with a leather jacket, to schmooze alongside the event’s hosts: actress Aubrey Plaza, musician Amanda Blank and blogger/politico daughter Meghan McCain.”
For it is as Jessica Stanley that Kendrick plays the girl in high school that she would have despised. “I don’t know who exactly Jessica comes from,” says Kendrick of her inspiration in preparation for the teenybopper fare, “but there was one girl in particular from my high school. And she was a nightmare.” There is an assertion that as a teenager she “was a little weirdo,” not a cool girl, not a ditz.

‘Twilight’ star Anna Kendrick discusses her Twitter verification idea

Any time a new Twitter page for a castmember from theTwilight series pops up, there’s a whole process hat goes into making sure it’s real. Usually, this involves contacting representation for the castmember or the franchise, and this can take a bit of time.
Anna Kendrick (“Jessica Stanley” in the Twilight Saga) approached her entry into Twitter-dom a bit differently than most: for the photo box on her Twitter page, she posted a photo of herself holding a piece of paper with her Twitter account on it.
In a new interview with Kendrick, she revealed the mindset behind her clever decision.
“That might seem so silly, but I was really proud of myself for thinking of that! I saw a picture once of an actress holding a sign that read, ‘yes, it’s really me’, and I thought that was so clever, but in theory anybody could take that photo and copy it to their site. I don’t come up with many good ideas but that was a killer way to dispel the imposters and all the misinformation on the net.”
It was a great idea, to be sure, and it saved those of us who try to look into such matters a whole bunch of time!
