While the Summit Entertainment penultimate film was not able to quite match the $142.8 million opening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, it still nabbed the fifth largest opening of all time domestically. But combining the opening numbers of $139.5 million domestically and $144 million overseas helped Breaking Dawn Part 1 reach a franchise best $283.5 million for opening weekend worldwide.

To compile our list we used information gathered for the Celebrity 100 to look at the last three non animation movies each actor starred in over that last three years. We added each actor’s upfront and backend pay on all three movies to come up with a total compensation number. We then added up the operating income of the three movies to come up with a total operating income number and
then divided total operating income by total compensation. Each return on investment number represents how much the studio is paid for every dollar invested in the star.
For every $1 Stewart is paid, her films earn an average $55.83. Stewart tops our list thanks to her paydays for two Twilight movies:
New Moon and Eclipse. She ranks higher than her costar Robert Pattinson (even though they earn the same amount on the films) because he has branched out more so only one of his Twilight films is eligible for this list.
For every $1 Pattin son is paid, his films earn an average $39.43. The Twilight star ranks lower than Kristen Stewart because he’s been busy. Only one of his Twilight films, Eclipse, qualifies for the list. The other films we looked at for Pattinson were Water for Elephants and Remember Me.

Your casting of Robert Pattinson in ‘Cosmopolis,’ someone whose acting might not be as critically lauded as Mortensen’s, was obviously a well-thought-out decision, then.
Well, Keira’s acting doesn’t always get praise from high-brow critics, either. I would use that parallel. You have a young actor who’s found success with a franchise just like Keira did with ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ who’s underrated because of that. In each case, they’re too pretty and too successful so people are jealous. As a result, people assume that they can’t possibly be good actors.
So what was the exact motivation for casting Pattinson in ‘Cosmopolis’?
He’s the right age, he’s got the right screen presence, and when I looked at his other work I thought he’d be really interesting for the role. Casting is a black art – it’s a bit mysterious how you come to these things – and it’s subjective, too, of course. As a director, there are no rules to guide you. You have to go with your gut, ultimately.

After three weeks at number one, Breaking Dawn Part 1 took the expected tumble down to third place with its estimated $7.9 million. That brings the penultimate Twilight’s domestic total up to $259.4 million – less than $8 million off of New Moon’s total after four weeks in theaters New Year’s Eve is the new number one movie in America; but with one of the lowest first-place debuts of the year, Warner Brothers may not feel like toasting their success.

( www.3×1.us) LaBow was particularly qualified to play designer—aside from spending her pre-actress days working as a stylist’s assistant, she got an education from her boho-chic Breaking Dawn wardrobe. “We were very furs and leather—the Denali clan is like the fancy coven,” she said. “We were all fly.”
